Allen Theosky Rowe was born in Taipei, Taiwan and is of Chinese, Korean and Japanese descent. However he speaks fluent Mandarin and conversational Cantonese and Shanghainese because he lived in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China for most of his childhood life. He would later learned to speak fluent English and conversational Korean and Japanese. He was also known as DJ Theosky in his short stint in the EDM scene. Theosky later switched career paths and pursued his interest in the cinematic world.
His career as an actor began in Beijing China when he was cast in the critically acclaimed TV series, “Tou Du” (2001). Where he generated his popularity by playing the lead villain Duck Blood Soup. To this day, he is still recognized in China for his raw portrayal. In addition Theosky appeared in numerous music videos for Jay Chou, Amanda Lee, which he also co-star with in the feature film “Ronin Boys” and other top artists in Asia.
Since then Allen garnered critical acclaim roles in television shows in the states like “Monk” , “Gang Related” , “Days Of Our Lives”, “CSI:Cyber” and Guest Starring in “Hawaii Five-O” and “Chicago P.D.” , “S.W.A.T.” and is currently recurring on TNT’s “The Last Ship”. Allen also can be seen in the feature film “Natural Vice” and is also currently filming the feature film “Rift” which will be released in China in 2019.
He won the Best Actor award for the winter quarterly Asians on Film Festival in 2013 for the film “Relativity” directed by his long time friend/collaborator (Director / Actor) Davis Noir. In 2015 Allen Won Best Actor again at the Los Angeles Movie Awards for the film “Off The Record”.
Theosky resides in Los Angeles, CA. but also lives in Asia while filming out there. He can next be seen in the action/thriller “Natural Vice” (U.S.A / 2018.), just wrapped production on the thriller “Rift” (China / 2018) and is in pre-production for the bio pic “Five Cent Life” (China / 2019).
